Worth it??
From 1st September,2018 onwards, The Royal Society for
Public Health(RSPH) has followed a campaign on 'Scroll Free September' , a
one-month initiative taken to minimise the usage of social media apps like
facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter etc., mostly by the youngsters and also
the older generation in order to minimise their increasing addiction and their
deteriorating mental health.
The undeniable
question is:
"Who is going to
follow the campaign genuinely?"
Youngsters almost 91%, have this innate desire to post every
single minute of the whereabouts on their stories and getting elated on the
views.
"What about the
daily updates of the world we are getting through it?"
After 2016, social
media has become one of the cheapest medium of getting information about the
world in India. Companies nowadays while recruiting employees go for their
social media profiles instead of the CV. There's no denying the fact that even
after going through this campaign there is 5-8% scope for improvement or maybe
not any improvement at all. Awareness on its usage must be delivered in the
entire globe. It’s wise, scrutinized usage is going to make a commoner in
swaying away from all mental problems.
